Best place ever I love animals they are the best
And petco has all the nicest animals and employees
Store manager has favoritism and is afraid to accept when HR calls her attention she takes it out on the poor hard working American citizens younger employees there. Just because they are young and can't defend themselves. Takes it out on employees, on specific employees. Yes the ones with brown eyes. Talks about them and speeds rumors in front of customers.
I was just on YouTube and searched for Petco abuse and saw lots of videos talking about Petco abusing animals and apparently one of your Texas stores put a baby geko in the dumpster, and that your suppliers torture animals by sometimes freezing them to death, and also one of your Petco stores gave someone's dog heat stroke. I would put 0 stars but that's not an option.
I'm a a customer that has seen this unfairness take place in front of me and others today at the Lakeland store today. Store manager Peggy in Lakeland is deceiving, very self centered and abuse of hispanic employees and customers. Called employee and said "we need to fix this right now, what gives you the right to call HR, what you did was dishonest and unfair"
Would post negative stars if possible. Brought my two dogs in for less than 5 minutes to try to grab some treats for them, brought them out because after the hurricane we had a tree down on our fence so we couldn't let them outside and we wanted them to have a good day. One of them is a bit nervous about new people but is very sweet, just a little barky. An associate asked about him and I said he was friendly just frightened of people's faces. Walked him to the back of the store and he was silent and good. Unfortunately the treats I was there to get were in the busiest area of the store so I walked him over to grab our treats and within 20 seconds were asked to leave the store because people were nervous that I had my dog in the store... a pet store?... dogs make noise. It's how dogs are. Peggy Tori was rude and uncaring and we will not be bringing our dogs back to any petco.
People don't let your children work here in the Lakeland one. And if they want me to erase the review, go ahead and call me with an apology and admit what you have been doing to this poor employees.

I loved it! Nice variety of small pets and supplies. It is located in a large plaza where you can browse and shop for days! Way better than anything in Tampa.
She is old and has old way of thinking a very racist woman.
